BLINDMIX

BlindMix.com is a lightweight browser game that plays short clips from YouTube so you can guess the track. It does not have user accounts, servers of its own, or a database of your personal information. This page explains the handful of things that do happen in your browser and with the third parties we rely on.

1. What Stays In Your Browser

Player names you add during a session are saved to your own browser's localStorage so the scoreboard persists between rounds on the same device. Pressing the EJECT · CLEAR SESSION button removes that data immediately. Clearing your browser storage has the same effect.

The text you type into the GENRE · YEAR field is only used to build a YouTube search for the current session and is not stored by the app.

2. What We Don't Collect

• No account, email, or password — there is no sign‑up.
• No payment information is handled by this app.
• No first‑party analytics, advertising, or tracking pixels.
• No data is sent to a server we operate.

3. Third Parties That Reach The Tape

A few external services are contacted by your browser when you use the app. Each has its own privacy policy:

• YouTube / Google — the cassette is really a YouTube player. Loading and playing videos happens through Google's servers, which may set cookies and receive technical data such as your IP address, device information, and playback events. See the Google Privacy Policy.
• Google Fonts — the retro typefaces (Permanent Marker, Share Tech Mono, VT323) are loaded from Google's font CDN.
• Netlify — the site is hosted on Netlify, which keeps standard server request logs. See the Netlify Privacy Policy.
• Buy Me a Coffee — the tip button in the footer is an external link. It only contacts Buy Me a Coffee if you click it.

4. Cookies

The BlindMix.com app itself does not set any cookies. Embedded YouTube and other third parties linked above may set their own cookies under their own policies. You can manage or block cookies through your browser's settings.

5. Children

This is a casual music game with no account system. It is not directed at children under 13, and no personal information is knowingly collected from them.

6. Your Choices

• Press EJECT · CLEAR SESSION to wipe player names from this device.
• Clear your site data / localStorage at any time from your browser.
• Refuse third‑party cookies via browser settings or extensions.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, the effective date above will be updated and the revised version will appear on this page.
